So I found my IC/student card lying between my music scores - don't really have any idea how the hell they ended up there though since I didn't even take them (the scores) out... but anyway, it doesn't matter because I now don't have to spend any money replacing anything! :D

This weekend has been extremely welcome even though I didn't exactly manage to take advantage of the weather. I'm not really looking forward to tomorrow because I really hate being analysed so thoroughly but taking it one day at a time works wonders, I suppose.

If only there were more days in the week... I'd gladly have more school if it meant that there'd be more time for me to accommodate school, training, and music - actually, there're many more but these are the essentials - though I suspect this is one of the things which falls under the be-careful-what-you-wish-for category.

Week two, here I come.

I am really quite relieved that it's Friday and I'm already done with the proposal/protocol (all seven pages of it) because school has really been quite killer. So killer, in fact, that I hardly have any time to myself anymore. I managed to squeeze in ten minutes of tube time last night before drifting off to sleep... this sucks.

To make things worse, I've misplaced my IC/student card somehow and all the money I've saved over the past two weeks is going to go into paying for the fines and transport while waiting to get my cards back. It's not really so much the money which matters that much - I'm just not looking forward to the earful I'm going to get from my parents.

There's nothing I'd like more than a warm bed (and cool air-conditioning) and... my IC back damn it.

... Damn. More about why you probably should not dive so readily into a career as a musician without looking at where you're going to land up first over here.

My Dad has very accurately surmised that the only reason why I've been lounging around at home this much is because I've effectively run out of cash. I'm not really willing to liquidate my remaining assets to watch a movie just yet, but I guess the Xbox does alleviate the boredom somewhat.

School begins in a week and already I have two projects on my back with a proposal/report due somewhere between tomorrow and Friday - obviously I haven't started doing anything yet but it will sort itself out in the end... somehow.

Speed Download 2 (I know, terribly ancient) is a really lousy piece of software because I can't seem to get the damn thing out of the system... apparently it's bundled with some aspect of the Safari browser and I'd have to remove the whole damn thing - but I can't for some weird reason. Bloody.

Geek whinge aside, Stephen Baxter's Evolution is a pretty damn good piece of science fiction. It's been approximately two weeks since I've turned the last page and I still catch myself subconsciously reaching for the book when I'm settled on the couch, midnight snack in hand. Get it if you're able to cope with Latin classifications and have a fantastic imagination to boot; you probably wouldn't love it otherwise. (;

Right... that was pretty geeky too, wasn't it? Damn it.

After the past two days of breathing in powder consisting of some mystery compound, I must say that nitrile gloves and N95 face masks (sorry, particulate respirators) go a long way in helping me fight off the creeping insanity. You know you're in the shit when the only vacuum cleaner in your lab starts spewing out the dust from the other end.

It'd be great if someone could provide me with some heavy-duty goggles... but please, keep them non-tinted.

Bloody awesome commercial ROFL.

I don't really care for cyborg pigeons and improved AI - what this world really needs is a bunch of commercial satellites up in the stratosphere providing true wireless capabilities - nothing sucks harder when you're in some insanely slow cab with only GPRS to satisfy your surfing needs. I'm an internet junkie, I know, but so is roughly half of the world.

The holidays have been a whirligig of emotions, none of which I'm particularly inclined to go into much detail right now, but suffice to say I've been enjoying them (the holidays, not always the emotions) tremendously and I cannot sympathise with my female JC peers who claim that the free time is nothing but drudgery; I don't have to work though so that probably paints everything a lovely rose-red in my case.

For the patriotic souls who are training to protect our nation though, I salute you.

It's better to have you close and not be able to touch you, then have you really far away and still not be able to touch you. Usually I try to keep such entries in my brain (i.e. I don't blog them) because there're some particularly lizard-like souls out there who attempt to pigeonhole everybody they meet online.

If you haven't already noticed, the message of the week is that lizards are goddamned irritating shit-layers who procreate too much for their own damn good. They also have this annoying way of picking up their girls by clucking, sort of like the golden (sorry the 'in' colour now is ash, right? whatever) haired ruffians who make all sorts of funny noises in town.

Goddamned lizards, damn you to hell. So what if you eat flies? They may be vicious blood suckers but at least they don't take a dump on my 'F' key.

Yesterday was an unbelievably tiring day because I'm such a picky shopper (I know it doesn't look like it shut up) that we walked all around Vivocity >6 times - but that's also because Ernie has a terrible sense of direction and couldn't remember where the shops were located. We gave up in the end.

My Onitsukas are out of stock so I am angry. If I see anyone wearing those Onitsukas I swear on my yellow teddy bear I will stab their toes with my... drumsticks. Now I am stuck with no shoes (again) for the CNY because most shoes nowadays either look too generic or are just downright ugly. My three year old shoes are still the best.

Uh I want to eat char siew.
